The Organic Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents

    Refers in Articles 391, 392 and 393 governing aspects trip minors within and outside the country.

Article 391. Travel within the country.

    Children and adolescents can travel within the country accompanied by their parents, representatives or guardians. If traveling alone or with third parties require authorization from a legal representative, issued by the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents, a civil leadership or by authenticated document.

Article 392. Travel outside the country.

    Children and adolescents can travel abroad accompanied by both parents or only one of them, but other authorization issued authenticated document, or when they have one legal representative and traveling in the company of this. If traveling alone or with third parties, require authorization from those exercising their representation, or authenticated document issued by the Board of Protection of Children and Adolescents.

Article 393. Judicial Intervention.

    If the person or persons who are to grant consent to travel it refuses to give or there is disagreement for granting the parent who authorized the trip, or the child if teenager, may go before the judge and explain the situation, so that it may decide what suits their interests.

Apply to:

  Infants: Up to 3 years not met.

  Children: Up to 13 years not met.

Permitting process steps to minors:

  Identity card (original and copy), parent or legal representative.

  Birth certificate or identity card (original and copy) of the child.

In the case of travel abroad permission is processed in conjunction with the passport:

  Two photos of the child (a) and / or adolescent type card.

  A photocopy of a receipt (electricity, telephone, etc.) to verify the home address of the child.

  Photocopy of the tickets, if available, but must specify the mode of transport used for the transfer.

At the airport you will be requested the following documents:

    If the child is traveling with parents:

  Original and copy of the birth certificate of the child.

    If the child is traveling alone:

  Notarized permission or issued by the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents signed by parents.

  Original and copy of birth certificate.

    If the child is traveling with third parties:

  Notarized permission or issued by the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents signed by parents.

  Original and copy of birth certificate.

  Copy of the identity card of parents.
